This striking pine tree is noted for its upright oval form and beautiful exfoliating bark. It is usually seen as a 30 to 50 feet tall tree but it can grow much larger. It prefers to grow in full sun in well-drained acidic soils. The Lacebark Pine is regarded by many to be the most beautiful of all the pines. It is widely planted in China and is commonly found on the grounds of temples.
