SUMMERTIME at CHEEKWOOD 

All summer long, Cheekwood offers exciting and inspiring experiences, inddors and out.  From scavenger hunts, butterfly chasing and treehouse climbing to yoga in the garden and author events, we invite you to discover the color, wonder and peaceful nature of Summertime at Cheekwood

Fitness Fridays
Fridays in June and July 
7:00 am
Get in shape at Cheekwood! You won’t find a more beautiful workout space anywhere in the city—join us for early morning opportunities to strengthen, energize and flex for health and fitness. 

Gates open at 7:00 am
*All activities meet at the Visitor Services Center and are free with gate admission. 

7:30 am – Yoga in the Garden
Led by certified trainers from the Green Hills YMCA. 

8:30 am
– Sculpture Trail Hike
Led by certified trainers from the Green Hills YMCA. 

9:30 am
– Stroller Strides 


Family Night Out
Thursday evenings in June and July
6:30 pm
Gather the gang and pack a picnic for this family-friendly series in the Garden at Cheekwood! Thursday evenings in June and July include fantastic performances and shows, a ‘kids dance zone,’ and so many magical memories. Make this summer one to remember! 


Summer Camp—Register Now!
For art and outdoor adventures, you can’t beat summer camps at Cheekwood! Keep your kids busy and engaged this summer with time-tested favorites such as Awesome Acrylics and Clay Creations to new offerings like Beautiful Books and Garden Sprouts. We have an entire summer of fun and fresh classes to engage and inspire every young artist. Don’t miss out on the fun!

Readers and book lovers, Cheekwood has a special series of literary events just for you. Join us in our gorgeous garden setting as celebrated local authors share their stories, describe their process and offer “behind-the-text” accounts of their works. This program is offered in Partnership with Parnassus Books. Please call 615-353-9827 to RSVP for the programs.
