Cheekwood is one of the premier Nashville settings for bridal and engagement portraits.
The rental of Cheekwood spaces for events or portraits is considered a benefit of membership which requires the person or group hosting the rental to hold a Cheekwood Family level membership or above.
Brides, families or other groups who hire photographers for Cheekwood sittings are considered the primary beneficiaries of the site rental. Photographers who hold memberships and take professional photographs of clients are not considered the primary beneficiary, and should direct their clients to Cheekwood Rentals and Catering for payment of membership and sitting fees.
If you are a bride renting a garden or facility for an event, your Family Membership and sitting fee are included in your rental charge of the space.
If the bride or an immediate family member is not already a member of Cheekwood and no site has been rented, $150 sitting fee is required ($75 for a Family Membership and $75 for the sitting fee). If you prefer, you can purchase a Boxwood Level Membership for $600 which includes one portrait sitting per year.
If the bride or an immediate family member is already a member of Cheekwood at the Family level the sitting fee will be $75. If the existing membership is below the Family level, the membership can be upgraded to the desired level.

Family $75 – Same as above with the addition of:
• Unlimited admission for two adults and children under 18 years of age OR member and three guests.
All photography sessions are in outside venues only and must be booked through the Rentals Department using attached portrait sitting request form. The client may use indoor facilities to change in but this must be booked through the Rentals Department. In order to reserve the date the client may prefer, the Rentals Department advises that they book in advance.
Photography session hours are generally from 9:30-7:30 PM, Tuesday-Friday, and 11:30-7:30 PM on Sundays. Availability is contingent on Cheekwood’s schedule of events and Saturdays generally tend to be unavailable due to wedding ceremonies. Please keep in mind Cheekwood is closed on Mondays.
We offer one complimentary, non-weather related rescheduling. Each additional non-weather rescheduling is a $20 fee. Weather cancellations/ rescheduling can be made no more than 24 hours in advance.
