Early registration is encouraged to ensure space in the camp of your choice.

*NEW* WAITING LIST
We no longer have a waiting list for sold out camps. If your desired camp is currently sold out, please periodically check the website for available seats. All cancellations will be processed through the Youth & Community Coordinator. Open seats will be available online for anyone to register after a cancellation.

MEMBERSHIP DISCOUNTS
Members save 25% on all Cheekwood summer camps. When registering online, please make sure you have your member ID number available. While not shown on the initial registration page, the discount is reflected in the total seen on the payment page. Please Note: You must be a member before registering for summer camp. Visit http://www.cheekwood.org/Membership to learn more about the wonderful benefits of a Cheekwood membership.

CANCELLATION POLICY
You may cancel your child’s camp registration up to 2 weeks before the first day of that camp. A 20% administrative handling fee per child per camp will be assessed for all changes and cancellations. Registration changes and/or cancellations cannot be completed online. Please call 615-353-9827 to cancel your registration. Camps cancelled with less than 2 weeks before the start date are not eligible for refunds. Unfortunately, we cannot give refunds for missed days of camp. Camps cancelled by Cheekwood because of low enrollment will automatically be refunded in full. Cheekwood will notify you no less than 2 days in advance if a class is cancelled and will try to accommodate your child in another camp session. Please note: Cheekwood cannot ‘switch’ classes. If you cancel a class to register for another, the cancellation is considered a separate transaction and the administrative fee will apply.

SCHOLARSHIPS
Cheekwood is proud to offer a limited number of summer camp scholarships. Click here to download an application. All applications must be received by April 19th, 2013 in order to be considered.
Please note: In order for Cheekwood to share the camp experience with as many children as possible, Cheekwood offers 50% and 100% scholarships based on the financial need according to the family's most recent tax return. All requests and information submitted to Cheekwood are confidential and only used to determine financial need.

AGE LIMITS
There is an appropriate age range for each session. Campers must be the proper age on or before August 1st, 2013 in order to enroll. Cheekwood has the right to cancel or switch the session of anyone registered in the wrong age group. Please note: With the exception of guardian/child camps, all children must be potty trained before attending camp.

LOCATION AND CHECK-IN

All camps are held on Cheekwood’s campus at 1200 Forrest Park Drive. Check-in is on the lower level of Cheekwood’s Frist Learning Center on the first day of their session. An authorized adult must accompany camper(s) into the building. *During camp, all camp traffic must enter and exit through the Back Gate at 111 Cheek Road Drive, Nashville, TN 37205.*

PACK A SNACK & WATER
There will be one snack time during each camp session. Please send a small non-refrigerated snack labeled clearly with your child’s full name. Because of an increasing number of campers with nut allergies, Cheekwood is a nut-free camp. We ask that you refrain from sending your camper with any food containing nuts. Water fountains are available to refill water bottles.

DRESS FOR MESS
Your child should wear clothes that are comfortable and suitable for hands-on, often messy fun!

SPECIAL NEEDS
Cheekwood will make every attempt to serve campers who require special attention or consideration. As we are not a special needs camp, there may be some needs that we are unable to meet. We have a policy not to accept campers whose needs are beyond our training or capabilities. If your child has a special need or a life threatening allergy, please contact the camp director at (615) 353-6970 to discuss their needs before registering. We want to prepare the staff and teachers in advance so that we can make your child’s camp experience the best and safest it can be.

A TYPICAL DAY of CAMP

Daily camp activities include structured art lessons based on camp themes, time to “free create,” as well as indoor and outdoor snack time. Many camps also include story times, gallery visits, outdoor art projects, garden scavenger hunts, and nature hikes.

During Morning, Lunch & Afternoon Care, campers will enjoy their lunch indoors before taking part in activities such as group art projects, outdoor games, and garden explorations. Campers are constantly supervised and will be escorted to and from their classes by camp staff.

CAMP INTERNS & VOLUNTEERS
Summer Camp volunteer opportunities are designed for students seeking to gain hands-on experience in a non-profit museum and botanical garden. Visit www.cheekwood.org/Contribute for more information or contact Thomas Bynum, Assistant Camp Manager, at tbynum@cheekwood.org. *Interns & Volunteers must be 15 years and older.
