Let the holidays begin as Cheekwood showcases the sights and sounds of the season with lavishly decorated grounds, artfully trimmed trees, and unique holiday activities. This year, Season of Celebration showcases your favorite classic holiday stories. From The Night Before Christmas to the Nutcracker, each tree brings a different Christmas tale in a new and festive way.

Enjoy live music in the museum’s intimate drawing room each weekend and learn about the many varied holiday customs in the Frist Learning Center. Enchanting, entertaining, and educational – you are sure to make lasting memories at Cheekwood’s Season of Celebration!
Museum Concert Series
Join us in the museum’s intimate Drawing Room on Saturday and Sunday afternoons from 2:00pm to 4:00pm to enjoy the seasonal sounds of some of Nashville’s finest musicians. From bluegrass and big band to choral and classical – there is sure to be something for everyone.

Storytelling and Cookie Decorating
In addition to our Saturday AM program, we will have storytelling and cookie decorating in the Learning Center every Saturday from 10:00am to 2:00pm. Come cozy up in front of the 1940’s fireplace and hear some of your favorite holiday stories. Afterwards, drop in to our cookie decorating workshop and create edible works of art with a holiday theme.

Instructors from Nashville’s Enchanted Gingerbread Studios will be on hand to provide tips as you work on your fully edible gingerbread house for the holidays.
