Join other home school students for specialized museum and garden tours and hands on art and garden activities. No minimum number required. Reservations required- 615-353-9827
Self-Guided Tours
- Home School Groups are welcome at any time for a self guided tour.
- Guided Tours- Cheekwood requires a minimum number of 12 students within a specific age range: K-4, 5-8, or 9-12. Guided tours must be scheduled at least 2 weeks in advance.
Admission is free for home school students. Accompanying adults are $5.00 each
In order to receive the special home school rate, both guided and self-guided tours must be scheduled through our Public Programs department at 615-353-9827.
To Schedule Your Home School Group Tour to Cheekwood:

1. Your group’s name, mailing address, and phone number.
2. The name of the desired tour.
3. Your choice of dates and times (please have three options in mind) Guided tours are offered Tuesday – Friday 9:30 am to 2:00pm. Closed Mondays
4. The size of your group.
5. The grade level of your group.
We offer family memberships so you may regularly move your classroom outdoors and utilize Cheekwood’s vast resources in your home school curriculum.
