INSIDER'S VIEW TOUR

Let our museum guides tell the intriguing story of the estate that Maxwell House Coffee built- the history of the Cheek family, who built the magnificent Georgian style mansion and gardens during the Depression, and their generous donation of Cheekwood as a public institution. Tour the surrounding Italianate gardens with their extensive collection of boxwoods, pools, streams, and fountains, designed by renowned architect and landscape architect Bryant Fleming. This overview of Cheekwood will prepare your group for further touring on their own, or they may add one or all three of the following specialty tours. (Allow 75 minutes for tour.)

PICTURE THIS TOUR

They’ll enjoy an in-depth, expert-guided visit focusing on Cheekwood’s permanent art collection and its major traveling exhibitions and learn about our magnificent collections of American and English silver, Worcester porcelain, drawings, sculptures and photographs. (Allow 60 minutes for tour.)

GARDEN REFLECTIONS TOUR
This opportunity to walk the grounds with knowledgeable guides will teach your group members more about the plants in Cheekwood’s collections as well as landscape architect Bryant Fleming’s design for integrating the mansion and the landscape. (Allow 60 minutes for tour.)

CONTEMPORARY SCENE TOUR

(Trail requires moderately strenuous walking-allow 75 minutes for tour.)

PLANNING YOUR GROUP VISIT
Include time for your group to browse among the unique gifts and collectibles in our Garden and Museum Shops as well as linger in the museum and wander through the gardens at their own pace. Or, for a seated lunch, visit the famous Pineapple Room Restaurant with its sweeping view of the grounds. Lunch arrangements must be made prior to your visit.  Click here for a Group Luncheon Menu.
