March 21 Dorothy O’Connor: Shelter
Join us as Dorothy O’Connor, the 2013 Martin Shallenberger Artist-in-Residence at Cheekwood, discusses her art and the creation of her new exhibition, Shelter. O’Connor’s work centers largely around transforming spaces into fantastic landscapes, frequently utilizing elements of nature and the natural world to tell a story. Learn how Cheekwood inspired her latest installation as she gives a behind-the-scenes account of her residency and describes the evolution of her upcoming exhibition.

Explore the magical world of daffodils at the annual Daffodil Show sponsored by the Middle Tennessee Daffodil Society in Botanic Hall. You will be amazed by all the varieties of daffodils that grow here in Middle Tennessee. Anyone who has a daffodil, named or unnamed, is welcome to enter the show.
