October 2 Painterly Pumpkins

Draw inspiration from Cheekwood’s pumpkin patch before stopping by the studio. We will be finger painting, cutting and gluing to create our own unique painterly pumpkins!

October 6 Tree Climbing Demonstrations

11:00 am AND 1:00 pm
Watch first-hand how arborists do their job with passion and purpose as they skillfully and safely maneuver in a tree while performing tree care tasks. Following the tree climbing demonstration, an ISA certified arborist will do a short presentation about the tools and tricks of the trade.

October 6 Family Studio Drop-In ‘ART’ivities

10am-2pm, Frist Learning Center Studios
Join us in the studios every weekend for interactive art and nature-themed activities. Using unique materials and methods, visitors young and old can create an art project all their own!

October 6 Live Music: Bluegrass in the Herb Garden

Tap your feet, clap your hands, and sing-along as some of Nashville’s finest musicians and instrumentalists bring bluegrass sounds to Cheekwood.

October 6 Live Music: Blair Student Musicians in the Museum of Art

11am-1pm, Museum of Art Drawing Room
Enjoy the sounds of talented student musicians from Vanderbilt’s Blair School of Music as you view the art and exhibitions throughout the Museum.

Tours are free and no reservation is required.  Garden Tours meet at Botanic Hall.

House and History: Cheekwood as a Country Place Estate
Cheekwood is one of the nation’s finest examples of a Country Place Estate. Join one of Cheekwood’s expert docents to discover the history of the Cheek family, learn of the design and construction of the mansion and grounds, and explore Cheekwood’s place in the country estate era.

Explore the exhibition on a guided tour with Cheekwood’s knowledgeable docents.
Tours are free and no reservation is required.  Meet in the Museum Foyer.

Cheekwood is honored to partner with Belmont’s School of Music to offer a fall concert series in the Museum’s intimate Drawing Room. Enjoy live music by some of Nashville’s most talented musicians. All concerts take place from 2:00 to 3:00pm.
